The WAY TO DO IT:
After the release of Crayons, contestants e-mailed their reviews of Donna's CD to me at:  doug@donnasummer.us.   I'vepost all entries on the  CRAYONS REVIEW PAGE.   After 17 days (1 day for each year we've waited for a new Donna Summer CD) the ever-popular Cathy (webmaster of  www.donna-tribute.com ), special guest judge- Brian Edwards (who worked closely with Donna as her Executive Assistant for six years in the past) and myself (webmaster of www.donnasummer.us ) selected our favorites from all entries submitted to reveal our top10 semi-finalists.

The Ultimate JUDGES:
Now each visitor can vote for their favorite reviewer for the remainder of the days in June to decide which reviewer wins!   (This is not anonymous- you'll be sending your votes to me, via e-mail.   So you cannot vote 1,000,000 times for yourself.  Sorry.  But you can vote for up to five people out of the ten to make it interesting.)
I'll update the votes daily.     (Voting ends June 30th, 2008)

September 2007 Song Challenge

This challenge is different from others in the past due to the fact that you will really have to dig for the answers.   The questions:

In which calendar year did Donna release the most minutes of music?  How many minutes total?

(I don't even know the answer as of now!  We'll all learn).

As of this date, no one has yet figure this one out.   If you do, I'll post your name here.   Happy calculating!  - Doug

March 2007 Song Story Challenge:

The story below uses 70 Donna song titles.   Correctly list the song titles.

Once upon a time, there lived a girl in the land of dreams unreal who needed to breakaway.   So, she kissed her children- Melanie and Brooklyn, heard them say a little prayer,  then she whispered "please, forgive me" and set out on a fairy tale high.   With her new found state of independence, she knew she was ready for a spring affair.   One that would find her back in love again.  The melody of love just kept this woman singing the need-a-man blues.   She indeed was looking for only one man; a one of a kind, unconditional love that would satisfy a highway runner, like herself, and make her feel like a queen for a day.

In a world full of cold love, this turned out to be a love shock.   The sweet green icing was flowing down in her MacArthur Park.   So rumor has it, she played the part of the wanderer and would carry on all through the night, living for the city.   She ran faster and faster to nowhere.   As she searched for her happily ever after, she noticed the autumn changes in the air.   She cried- "This is nothing but a grand illusion.   I'm a rainbow!  I was not born to die!  I'm free, but I have to stop, look and listen to my heart.  Heaven knows, it's not the way the woman in me should be.  I don't want a bad reputation".  She now realized that love has mind of it's own and heaven's just a whisper away.   "Maybe it's over".

A man -who was definitely hot stuff- named Jeremy invited her to fun street, but she cried "Baby, baby....Back off boogaloo;  in another place and time".    He said "I can't make you love me, if you don't".    She had to walk away from this inner case of mistaken identity.   Then, looking up, she heard voices cryin' out with a supernatural love- "Who do you think you're fooling? What is it you want?  O come, all ye faithful.  I will go with you and give you whatever your heart desires".   She responded with "Hear my cry of a waking heart!  You to me; I do believe in Jesus"!     And with that, she would no longer let her body talk, but shout it out that she was livin' in America!   With her family and friends unknown, she knew true love is in control.   Indeed, for this little miss fit, love is the healer.

She returned to the protection of her home, claiming "I got your love and this time I know it's for real".   You could see it in her sentimental eyes, she'd make it any way at all to her very own endless love.
